Calgary Economic Development invites qualified firms to submit a proposal to support Calgary Economic Development set its next four-year strategic direction in its 2027 - 2030 Corporate Strategy.
As Calgary's economic development agency, our mandate is to expand, retain and attract companies, people and capital to deliver long-term economic prosperity to Calgary. We achieve our mandate by focusing on the city's prosperity, promotion and reputation, building partnerships with civic and community organizations, businesses and all levels of government and ensuring Calgary's workforce meets the current and future needs of our employers. CED focuses on the growth of priority sectors in Calgary: Energy & Environment, Agribusiness, Aerospace & Defense, Transportation & Logistics, Life Sciences, Film & TV, and Digital Media and Entertainment.
This work will incorporate external global, national and local trends to ensure the organization is responding to upcoming political, economic, social, technological and regulatory changes as it continues to drive foreign direct investment, trade and capital flows into Calgary.
CED understands the importance of continuous improvement and will work with the vendor to stress test our current corporate strategy, including our priority sectors, to identify how the organization can manage and anticipate the impacts of the identified trends and take advantage of future sector opportunities.
