Calgary-based Ownly brings the home purchase process online with a real estate platform positioned to revolutionize the industry. Constant trips to sales centres may soon be things of the past as buyers go digital to design their dream homes from anywhere, anytime.
For home builders, the Ownly platform can be conveniently integrated into existing web infrastructure to create a seamless experience for consumers.
“We’ve had incredible growth in just a year,” said Jason Hardy, Co-founder & CEO, Ownly. “Ownly has already partnered with the four largest home builders in Alberta and has entered an agreement with the largest mortgage provider in North America.”
Originally from Ontario, Calgary’s unmatched spirit was what led Hardy to pack up his bags and head out West.
“The entrepreneurial spirit in Calgary is absolutely unrivalled anywhere in North America. I was blown away how entrepreneurs are embraced and supported in this city.”
As a real estate leader in the community, Hardy has helped train the next generation of entrepreneurs in the industry, including some of Ownly’s current employees. For more than a decade, he has taught real estate marketing to students at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and also sits on the university’s PropTech Advisory Board, which focuses on technology and software in the real estate vertical.
In May 2021, Ownly completed its first round of funding and intends to use additional rounds to increase customer reach and build its brand, with potential sights on the American market.
“It really feels like we’re building a rocket ship,” said Hardy.
