Provide input on the city’s economic strategy
When it comes to shaping Calgary’s future, every Calgarian’s voice matters. To ensure our city’s path forward is right for everyone, we need input from Calgarians of all walks of life.
Calgary Economic Development is asking for input from local residents to update our city’s economic strategy, Calgary in the New Economy, and create a more inclusive, representative plan for the future.
Along with a survey that citizens can complete online, Calgary Economic Development is hosting two virtual open house sessions focused on fostering a strong economy with shared prosperity.
“We want all Calgarians to feel like they are a part of this strategy,” said Kate Koplovich, Senior Manager, Research & Strategy, Calgary Economic Development. “The strategy was built by the community, for the community. As we move forward with our work to create a successful, future-ready economy for Calgary, we want to ensure that is still true and allow everyone to have input into what our future looks like.”
The open houses will be Monday, October 4, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Tuesday, October 5, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. The sessions will provide the opportunity to learn more about the economic strategy, share perspectives with the project team and ask questions. The sessions are casual, drop-in style events with four virtual rooms for participants to join.
