A picture may be worth a thousand words, but well-produced video can tell stories of near immeasurable impact.
But in the age of smartphones and social media, too often companies and other organizations miss the opportunity to make their message stick with their audience.
That is not the case with Calgary-based V Strategies’ clients.
“The analogy I use is I can go to the grocery store to get all the ingredients to make a great meal,” says Jeff Bradshaw, president and chief executive officer of V Strategies, whose clients include a who’s who of major Calgary organizations and even multinational brands.
“But only a chef can take those ingredients and make a truly memorable meal.”
It’s the same with video production.
“Anyone can shoot and edit video with their phone,” he says. “But we have been doing this for 25 years, and so when companies and organizations have an important story to tell, they look to us to help them tell it.”
Video remains one of the best mediums to weave important messaging into the fabric of a great story with emotional impact, Bradshaw says.
“It’s not just about video,” he adds. “It’s about its pacing, how it’s shot and music selection, and allowing a story to breathe so it resonates with viewers.”
V Strategies veteran videographers and editors are indeed masters of their craft, “able to make stories stand out from the rest,” he says.
More than anything, clients trust V Strategies. After all, it’s their brand at stake.
“If you’re a great organization, but you put out lacklustre videos to represent your brand and get out your message, it gives your audience the wrong impression,” Bradshaw says. “The better the quality of the video and its storytelling, the better it reflects on the brand.”
