With restaurant service restriction continuing and most of Calgary’s summer festivals cancelled or rescheduled, GlobalFest aims to support a few of the small businesses who regularly appear at its annual summer festival. Patrons will remain in their vehicles to place their orders, and our food truck personnel will manage contactless delivery to adhere to social distancing guidelines still in effect.

Patrons are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Calgary Food Bank.

GlobalFest has partnered up with the Socially Distant Festival which has garnered an impressive international following, with artists from around the world sharing their livestreamed performances on Facebook. Calgary’s art scene has shot to the top 3 cities in the world participating in the online festival, and a specially curated showcase will be streaming live from 3-8pm on Sunday, May 24. Follow to catch the show. Music and footage from last year’s festival event will be available throughout the weekend on the GlobalFest YYC YouTube channel.

The annual summer festival is working on alternative plans to deliver a modified event that includes firework displays and multicultural activities during our OneWorld Festival and Trico Homes International Fireworks Festival.
