It will be an afternoon focused on the celebration and commemoration of the remarkable women in our community who have transformed history through their inspiring visions and leadership. Event Details Date: November 22 Time: Reception: 11:30 a.m. | Luncheon and Awards: 12:15 p.m. Location: Wainwright Hotel Individual Seats: $95 plus GST Table of Eight: $760 plus GST The Journey Forward: Support young entrepreneurs, trades-women, business-women and others by hosting or gifting a table of eight to the Women Making History Awards. Answer the questions at checkout to choose your recipients or have our team invite up-and-coming young women or women re-entering the work force on your behalf. Luncheon Menu Selection Reception Enjoy a selection of wine and refreshments prior to the Awards Ceremony Entrée Seasonal soup served with Alberta Bakery bread and house-churned butter. Heritage Park Tea, featuring petite finger sandwiches, our favourite treats and fresh buttermilk scones from Heritage Park Chefs. Dessert A selection of Heritage Parks specialty desserts. Refreshments A selection of fine teas and wine. About the Awards The Women Making History in Alberta Awards, established by Heritage Park, honour women who have transformed history through their inspiring visions and leadership. This year, Heritage Park continues this tradition by recognizing exceptional Alberta women who have made significant, lasting impacts on countless lives, introducing two new categories, and bringing the total to three: New: History Maker in the Making: Up and Coming Women in our Community New: The Vera Burns Award, posthumously presented to a woman of distinction Women Making History in Alberta Heritage Park’s mission to preserve and promote Western Canada’s history invites people to step back in time and learn about the diverse individuals and events that have shaped our present and future. Join us in celebrating these trailblazing women who have contributed significantly to Alberta’s history and future. Know Before You Go Event Access: When guests arrive to the Park, they should drive to the security gates, located underneath the clock tower in Heritage Plaza. From there, guests will be directed to drive to the Wainwright Hotel and park there. From there, they can access the Wainwright Hotel for the reception and banquet. Parking: Parking is complimentary. Guests can park at the Wainwright Hotel.
