What is in store for Calgary in the future? Now that we are reopening, we are beginning to see our new normal following the COVID-19 pandemic.
That was the topic of conversation between Mary Moran, President & CEO of Calgary Economic Development, Azmain Abrer, CEO of Calgary-based AI company Popular, and Siraaj Shah, Vice-chair of Flatten the Curve Canada.
The discussion was hosted by Flatten the Curve Canada, which is a student-run national organization that created a series called “The New Normal,” which features discussions with local leaders regarding policies and lessons learned through the pandemic.
Moran, Abrer and Shah touched on a number of important topics, including the vast amount of opportunities available in Calgary across all sectors, the need to change the perception of our city as solely an energy centre to a leader of advanced technologies solving the world's greatest challenges, and the steps we need to take to become the digital transformation centre in Canada.
