With record attendance of almost 1,500, Economic Outlook 2019 delivered the national, regional and local economic forecasts for 2019, and provided insights into Calgary's opportunities and challenges.
The updated four-year economic strategy, Calgary in the New Economy, was also unveiled, highlighting four strategic pillars: talent, innovation, place and business environment.
Moderated by CTV's Tara Nelson, speakers included Steve Allan, Executive Chair, Calgary Economic Development, Mary Moran, CEO, Calgary2026, Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Pedro Antunes, Deputy Chief Economist, The Conference Board of Canada, Todd Hirsch, Chief Economist, ATB Financial, and Curtis Stange, President & CEO, ATB Financial.
